Bored at work
Summary
Bored at work features behaviors that have developed in recent years in the context of alienated office postures, such as pen spinning, the practice of making a pen rotate between one’s fingers. These new practices symbolize an act of resistance to that alienation, a revalorization of the body in the face of lethargic ergonomics. They have even given rise to tournaments in pen spinning, spinning chair, which consists in making a chair rotate as many times as possible, and finger drumming, or playing drums with one’s fingers.
